Attorney Profile

John M. Robinson has been a member of the Maryland Bar since 1979.  His other Bar Admissions include the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.  In addition, Mr. Robinson has been admitted pro haec vici in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and the United States District Court, Eastern District of California.

Mr. Robinson is an experienced trial attorney who has conducted a busy civil trial practice for forty years in courts throughout the State of Maryland. In addition to the gamut of Family Law issues that he has litigated, Mr. Robinson has tried cases involving anti-trust claims, commercial torts, construction disputes, contract interpretation, eminent domain, estate matters, per­sonal injuries, product liability, and professional malpractice. This experience has been gained in the Circuit Courts for Baltimore City, and Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, and Washington Counties. As part of that practice, Mr. Robinson has appeared on numerous occasions before the appellate courts for Maryland. As a final adjunct to his litigation practice, Mr. Robinson has served as a mediator in dozens of mediations since 2008. He has been certified as a mediator by the Circuit Courts of Frederick County and Washington County.

In addition to his litigation services, Mr. Robinson has regularly provided counsel to his commercial and construction industry clients over the years, giving advice on a variety of matters including corporate, partnership, limited liability company and limited partner­ship organizations and reorganizations, contract negotiation, and general business counsel.

Finally, Mr. Robinson can provide all of the planning, drafting, and tax advice needed to accomplish the estate goals of virtually any person with an estate valued at less than the federal unified credit ($3,500,000 in 2009) or for a couple with an estate valued at less than two times the federal unified credit.
